South Montgomery County Academy (SMCA) is fully accredited by the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).  We offer an educational experience in a setting where the school is the heart of the community.  

SMCA is located in the small town of Grady, Alabama which is 28 miles south of the city of Montgomery.  It was founded in 1970 in a historic building that was originally a public school.  The school has expanded with several additions through the years, but has kept the "old-fashioned" values that have made an enduring affect upon all of those who've attended, as well as the community in which it resides.      

We at SMCA are always moving forward.   Through growth and expansion we look forward to taking advantage of a growing population in South Montgomery County.  With the arrival of Hyundai and excellent leadership of our economic and political leaders, this area should enjoy tremendous growth over the next several years.   SMCA is working every day to ensure we are prepared to provide the students of this area with a quality affordable education and fortify that education with memories and friendships that last a lifetime.   We have recently begun the "Drive to Revive" campaign to raise funds so that the facilities and campus can be revitalized for current and future generations to enjoy.   We are certain that you too will be excited about this initiative.   Contact the school at (334) 562-3235 or send an email to somtgy@mon-cre.net to schedule a personal tour of our facilities.
